A0174 - Luxury villa in Peyia, not far from the Sea Caves in Paphos
The development is located at the top of a small canyon, with one of the lots accessed by a road that leads down into the canyon to a lower level lot. The area consists mainly of scrub, grassland and trees with areas of open cream or white limestone. The development follows the pattern of the landscape with mature trees and a garden that blends in with the natural vegetation.
The soft natural colors of the exterior, accentuated yet softened by the use of terra cotta screens and natural wood paneling, flow seamlessly into the interior living space, which transitions to a spacious outdoor living area. The exterior color scheme and use of wood continues inside with soft sand colored walls and ceilings highlighted by walnut doors and soft, warm downlights that are unobtrusive yet effective in creating a homey feel on winter nights. Inside, the sense of luxury is enhanced by travertine marble slabs used in the bathrooms and as headboards in the bedrooms.
Marble is not only a luxurious touch, it is also known for its cool touch and helps reduce the temperature while you sleep. Walnut finish doors are used in every room as well as the closets. In places, walnut paneling is added as a feature and adds to the feeling of bringing the outside in, mirroring the exterior finishes. High-quality marble tiles adorn the floors throughout the homes, while Italian-designed and manufactured ceramic tiles in complementary shades are used over the granite countertops in the kitchen.
The kitchens are equipped with high-end cabinetry and appliances from top European manufacturers. Finally, the landscaping of the project has been carefully considered so that the mature tree plantings are in harmony with the naturally occurring greenery. Smaller shrubs also reflect the environment, selected from species endemic to Cyprus. For ease of maintenance, an automatic irrigation system is in place and for sustainability, the ground is lined and gravelled to reduce water loss through evaporation.
