B73 - Multifunctional business, shopping and entertainment center in Larnaca
This revolutionary project is situated in the fast-developing central district of Larnaca. The reconstruction of the old seaport and the alterations in the surrounding infrastructure will transform this spot integrating commercial and tourist life of the city.
The objective of the project is to build a high-tech vivid fifteen-storey “floating building” that will become an optical dominant of this part of the city.
Building design-concept is based on the transition from firm basis initially to porosity and then to transparency. The architects have been inspired by triple plant structure (a root, a stem and a flower). Materials and technologies support this concept – a solid concrete foundation, glass and mirror image surfaces on top of the building and a colorful illumination. Glass walls will enable one to relish the building interior against the background of the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.
The project offers space for companies and professionals to include banks, insurance companies, and doctor’s offices, legal and architectural offices. There will be a parking lot, a reception area and stores on the lower floors. Top levels include conference-halls, exhibition spaces, offices, restaurants, SPA and sports and fitness centre that will be open to all comers.
The building is active during night too. Its unusual illumination introduces a peculiar coloring into the evening life of the city. The project is not just a business centre but also a focus of various city life, combing work, sports and recreation.
